Question: Do they do cartilage piercings with a stud or hoop with the needle?

They all hurt. Cartiledge piercing is the most painful piercing, supposedly. Most of the time they do a hoop. But after it heels which is only a couple months you can switch to a stud.

well, most places will put a stud in unless you suggest otherwise. A stud is less likely to get caught while brushing your hair, on clothes, etc. While it is healing, a stud is a much better choice. all peircings hurt. ears and cartilage isnt bad. My worst was the belly button but that still was not bad
