How old do you have to be to get your ears pierced without a parent in NY?

I'd probably go to a Piercing Pagoda or something similar; I heard that I shouldn't go to Claire's because they don't clean their supplies well and they often pierce unevenly. I'm 17, and I would be allowed to keep in my earrings, but my parents hate piercings so they wouldn't go with me to get it. If there was a consent form, I could also probably get my mom or dad to sign it. Will I be able to go with a friend to get them pierced?
Also, this would be my first piercing, and I'd just get a normal set, one on each earlobe. Does it hurt?

this is weird can someone please help me figure this out? something with my piercing?

so this morning i got up put on clothes blah blah blah and then i put on my makeup and then i got a pair of my favorite turqoise stud earrings i tried putting them in my second hole on my right ear but it never went through i think the hole was closed i'm not sure but i went to the bathroom and looked at the hole it looked open so i forced it through really hard (it pained like hell). so now my ear is swollen because it's a little sore now so was my hole closed or was it still open because my earrings had been out for three days i believe i haven't worn any earrings lately. but i only had my piercings for two years, i have fat earlobes. i don't know what it was i'm confused.

ok so im 12 years old and i have just recently got an industrial piercing. about a year ago i asked my mom if i could get it she said that i needed to think about it some more so i did. on saturday she woke everyone up to tell the family that we were all going out for the day including going to a tattoo parlor to see pricing on piercings. when we called the tattoo parlor the lady was very unsure about it but she went ahead and did it so i got my piercing....so far i have showed 4 of my family members my new piercing that (i am in love with). and here are there replies: its so disgusting, it grosses me out, its too big, yuck. now here is my question is it gross for a 12 yr. old to get an industrial piercing?

everyone there seems to be teaming up with everyone else and once again High School is repeating itself. I got paired with this one girl but she had bright pink hair, piercings and we hardly had any compatible traits. She didn't talk to me much, I was the one who had to make small talk. So we didn't really click and everyone else seems to be getting along fine and dandy. What did I do wrong? I smiled and acted polite but I still can't make friends. Should I just quit and get a job as it seems to be going nowhere? One of the questions we had to ask each other was about friends and I couldn't exactly say or make friends with someone who knows I don't have any in the first place. Some people get all the luck.

How to talk to my mom about stretching my ears?

So, I REALLY want to stretch my ears, not very big, just about a 6 or a 4, but there's a problem. My mom is VERYYYY strict about piercings and things of that sort, she won't allow me any piercings except my ears, which I got pierced when I was about 7. I've mentioned getting a nose piercing before and she completely spazzed at me so I'm too afraid to even bring it up, I'm not even allowed a cartilage piercing in my ear. Any suggestions on how to talk to her about stretching my ears? PLEASE help?

I have i spacer in my left ear i think its a 12 or w.e. I want my right ear spaced to so I'm going to get it pierced soon. How long do you think i will have to wait until i can space it?

I have an extremely high pain tolerance and i went straight to 12 when i got the left and i didn't feel anything, if that's anything...?

Infected ear piercing?

There's a little bit of blood and they hurt whenever I change the earrings!
I've had them in for 7 weeks without changing to be safe but they still got infected becuase I didn't use the cleaner very often.[These are my second piercings in each ear]
If I clean them with the provided cleaner and leave the silver studs in that they were pierced with will they eventually heal? Or do I need to let them fill in and have them completely redone?

Micro dermal piercing question...?

Ok, so I am obsessed with getting a micro dermal piercing on my wrist but, I have a few questions first!

1. What is the risk of infection, is it super high or uncommon?

2. Does it get snagged on things easily?

3. Does it leave a bad scar when you decided to take it out? (If possible please include link with a picture of the scar)

4. On a scale of 1 - 10 how bad does it hurt? (I have a belly button ring as well so you can compare it to the pain of that)

5. How long does it take to heal?

6. What are YOUR overall opinions of micro dermal wrist piercings, do you think they're cute, weird, or what?!

How should I bring up to my parents that I want a tattoo for my birthday?

Ok, I've been wanting a tattoo having to do with music since I was eight. A few months ago my dad asked me what I want for my sixteenth birthday. I said a car but the cheapest we could get around here is $6,000 but even then we couldn't afford it especially since my birthday is a month after Christmas and we have to buy gifts for our large family. So, the highest in price they can probably go is $800 to keep me even with my brother who got a $1200 present this month for his birthday.

So, now I am highly asking my parents for a tattoo of a treble clef and bass clef symbol forming a heart on my inner right wrist in black. The tattoo would look like this Click Here . My parents don't seem to mind most piercings and tattoos seeing as I have a nostril and side labret piercing but I haven't really spoken much about tattoos except for talking about designs I like and want. Though, both my parents were obbsessed with the show Miami Ink which might indicate that they like them.

My reason for wanting the clef symbols is because I have always been very connected to music. It seems to have always soothed me even when it didn't seem possible and I'm always listening, singing or playing music. So, it is very important to me.

Also, this present will be much cheaper then a car. Which in my mind is a bonus for them since they will be making their child happy and saving money since I think that tattoo will be around $250 to $700 which is cheaper then the origional set price. I know I must sound vain and moronic but I truly want this. So, how do I bring this up and explain it to my parents?
